So you say you want a revival?
Are you willing to pay the price?
God telling me that many believers today have rejected Jesus Christ’s healing power even though they have accepted his salvation. They reject Christ’s power in their lives because they do not truly need him. They have opted to look to themselves, to others and or to things to save, sooth and comfort themselves.
Most Christians say they want a revival but are they willing to pay the price? Are they willing to carry their cross, their brokenness openly for all to see?
God says we must come and “rend our hearts”, “tear them asunder”; in order to walk fully in our faith and truly carry our cross for all to see. How will those around us see God’s saving, healing power if we are not willing to allow ourselves to be broken, healed and forever changed. Those we interact with every day need to see our lives radically transformed in order to see Jesus and the resurrection power that raised Him from the dead.
We must be desperately in need of our Savior and completely out of our comfort zones unable to live this life we now live in our own strength. We can then go to those who are truly desperate as well; leaving our churches and our homes and to seek them out and show them Jesus through our actions and our words.
God says if we want to see a mighty move of his power and see multitudes of the lost and broken find His son Jesus Christ then we must be willing to let them see Christ’s resurrection, saving and healing power working in us first. It has to start somewhere. There has to be those of us willing to not only seek out the lost but to be living testimonies of this Christ that we profess.
If, as a community of believers, we are willing to walk this path of pain and face our past, our fears, and our unforgiveness and allow ourselves to be broken and totally surrendered then we can expect to see God move and many, many, many come to Christ. The effect of all these changed lives will go out into the community and as long as we get out of the way …..revival : )
Matthew 21:31-32 “…Jesus said to them, ‘I tell you the truth, the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God ahead of you. For John came to show you the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes did. And even after you saw this, you did not repent and believe him.”
Matthew 21:, 42-43 ” Jesus said to them, ‘Have you never read in the Scriptures: The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone, the Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes? Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit. He who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces, but he on whom it falls will be crushed.”
