At the Foot of the Cross

Lord I come before you now and ask that everything that I have tried to hide: my pain, my past, my faults, my dreams,  my gifts, and my future ; that I could lay it all down at the foot of Your cross where all was given and completed on my behalf.

I am exhausted and finished running and hiding from You.

The only way for me to reach out to You with both arms is to empty them of everything I have held onto for so long.

You have won my heart and I lay every burden, every fear, every hope, every notion that I could do this on my own down at Your feet.

Your mercy is healing me and Your grace is drawing me closer and closer to You.
