1 John 3 : 21-22
1 John 3 : 21-22
“If our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight.”
I am at the foot of the cross laying my burdens down: my fear, pain, regret, anger, bitterness, my hopes, my dreams and I reach out to touch His feet.
I come to the cross as a little girl reaching out for mercy.
Jesus gets off of the cross and picks me up in His arms. I hide my face in His shoulder as He holds me with my arms around His neck. He carries me to His Father, to the throne.
Jesus pleads, intercedes for me declaring that I am His, saved by His blood; His sacrifice. He sets me down before the throne and I immediately fall to the ground on my face unable to move or speak.
As I lay there I am purified; all the shame, guilt and sin burned away.
Jesus lifts me up and I stand there naked before God as my dirty, torn clothes are now gone. Jesus dresses my wounds, annoints my head with oil and gives me a new, white robe to wear.
I am no longer a child as I stand there before My Father on His throne.
I am given a new direction, my purpose and my new names and they are new, clean, redeemed, saved, forgiven, and commissioned.
I am ready to go out and speak His words to anyone He leads me to.
